Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant Sports Club crawled past Foakaidhoo to a difficult three points to close the gap on top spot to two points. TC are on top of the standings with 12 points while Foakaidhoo who lost today's game are now in 8th place with just two points.

Blues came into the game without their star midfielder Candela who is still side lined with a injury while Mohamed Umair returned back to the starting eleven while Foakaidhoo gaffer Ali Nishtar fielded a largely unchanged starting line up.

Foakaidhoo got off to a better start and dominated proceedings in the middle of the park and threatened to fire past Blues goalie Imran but it was New Radiant who found the back of the net through star man and captain Ali Fasir.

Fasir ran through on goal beating two defenders before chipping the ball over a helpless Saqib Haneef.

Ali Fasir and Khalil Gamel of Foakiadhoo had some great opportunities to score but both players missed their chances.

Despite clashes between both sets of players as the game came to a close New Radiant had a glorious chance to draw level but Saqib Haneef denied Ali Fasir his brace.
