Difficult win for Green against Thinadhoo

Male', MALDIVES - Club Green Streets secured a difficult 2-1 win against Thinadhoo Sports in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League tonight. Shafiu Ahmed scored the winning goal in the 86th minute.

In a very balanced first half, both teams created good goal scoring opportunities. Ansar Ibrahim and Jose Alexander Hernandez Avila played very well and played an important role in Thinadhoo's performance.

Club Green Streets opened the scoring just after 35 minutes from a descent strike by Sobol Illia. Illia beat his marker and shot it into the bottom corner of the net.

Jose Alexander Hernandez Avila leveled the game within few second after the break from a descent striker out side the box.

After the equalizer, Club Green Streets coach Sobah Mohamed was forced to make a change to his team and he introduced Adam Isham to replace Mukhuthar Naseer.

Green Streets Ahmed Rasheed and Sobol Illia created good goal scoring opportunities however, they fail to convert those into a goal.

Shafiu Ahmed scored the winner in the 86th minute from a descent strike inside the box after receiving the rebounded ball when keeper cleared the free kick from the right flank.

Thinadhoo were unlucky to level the game in the additional time when Pecherroman's free kick on the edge of the penalty area went wide.

New Radiant will play against Maziya tomorrow.
