FIFA informs New Radiant to settle Amiri's salary dispute

Male', MALDIVES - The governing body of World football, FIFA asks New Radiant to settle the financial dispute with their former defender Haroon Fakhruddin Amiri within 45 days.

New Radiant has to pay to Amiri outstanding remuneration in the amount of USD 13,250.00 plus interest calculated as follows;

- 5% interest p.a. as of 11 February 2018 over the amount of EUR 2,650 until the date of effective payment;

- 5% interest p.a. as of 11 June 2018 over the amount of EUR 5,300 until the date of effective payment;

- 5% interest p.a. as of 11 July 2018 over the amount of EUR 5,300 until the date of effective payment.

As per the decision made by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber, New Radiant has to pay to Amiri, compensation for breach of contract in the amount of USD 30,130 plus 5% interest p.a. from 25 July 2018 until the date of effective payment.

New Radiant has to pay a total of USD 45,636 (MVR 703,707.12) within 45 days from the notification and should provide evidence of payment of the due amounts to FIFA. And if they failed to do so, New Radiant shall be banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, up until the due amounts are paid and for the maximum duration of three entire and consecutive registration periods.

Speaking to Maldivesfootball.com today, Amiri said that New Radiant denied his allegations about the unpaid wages before and now everyone knows that what he said was true.
