Male', MALDIVES - Sobol Illia's 88th minute strike helped Club Green Streets to secure a narrow 2-1 victory against Milandhoo FC in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.
Club Green Streets started the match with their recent signings including Shafiu Ahmed and Mukhuthar Naseer. But Ahmed Ashfan and their regular starter in STO Male League, Mohamed Saif started the match on the bench.
Ahmed Rasheed broke the deadlock just after four minutes into the game from a wonderful strike inside the box and neither teams managed to create goal scoring opportunities.
Sobol Illia were unlucky to increase the margin before the break from a long range shot. Milandhoo keeper Mohamed Imran cleared it for a corner kick.
Ismail Fathuhee took advantage of a silly mistake by keeper Jun Kochi and leveled the game in the 63rd minute. Fathuhee received the pass from Jun Kochi and shot it into the net when keeper was out of his position.
Sobol Illia scored the winning goal for Club Green Streets in the 88th minute from a close range shot and confirmed three points from their opening game in ODPL.
Thinadhoo Sports will play against Maalhos tonight at 2100 hours.
