Imran renews contract with Blues

Male'MALDIVES - Veteran goalkeeper Imran Mohamed has renewed his contract with New Radiant for next season.

Imran, 36, played a key role as New Radiant triumphed in Dhivehi Premier League and FA Cup this season.

New Radiant has awarded his performances with contract extension which will see him play for the blues till the end of next season. Even though New Radiant signed national team goalkeeper Mohamed Faisal in the June transfer window, Coach Oscar included Imran in the starting 11 in key matches. Faisal, long time understudy of Imran, has also renewed his contract for next season.

Imran is the most decorated goalkeepers of his generation. Staring his career with Eagles, Imran has played for Victory, VB Addu FC and Maziya in a career that has spanned for almost two decades.

Imran has been nominated for the best goalkeeper award of Maldives Football Awards.
