Dhaka, BANGLADESH - India advanced to the final of 2018 SAFF Suzuki Cup after defeating Pakistan by 3-1 in the second semi final on Wednesday. India will face Maldives in the final on Saturday at 1800 hours.
Both teams failed to score a goal in the first half of the match played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
However, after three minutes into the second half India's Manvir Singh broke the deadlock. His right footed shot from the left side of the six yard box to the bottom left corner.
Manvir Singh doubled the lead in the 69th minute from a right footed shot from the right side of the box.
Sumit Passi changed the score to 3-0 in the 84th minute from a descent header from a very close range.
Two minutes later, referee gave marching orders to Pakistani defender Mohsin Ali and India midfielder Lalianzuala.
Pakistan's only goal came from striker Mohamed Ali just two minutes before the normal time.
