Late goal earns Fokaidhoo a point against Thimarafushi

Male', MALDIVES - Mohamed Jailam's injury time goal secures a point for Fokaidhoo after a dramatic game against Thimarafushi. Thimarafushi were all but set to take home all three points when Jailam fired home in the 93rd minute of the game. 

Fokaidhoo are now sixth in the standings with two points from three games while Thimarafushi earned their first point of the league to move ninth in the standings. 

The first chance of the game fell for Fokaidhoo in the 20th minute when Mohamed Muslih found himself in space with time. But his effort was saved by Thimarafushi keeper Adetunji Lawrence. 

A minute later Thimarafushi were denied a good chance by Fokaidhoo goalie Saqib Haneef. 

During the additional time in the first half Jailam fired home into the top corner of the net from inside the box to draw first blood in the game. 

Soon after the restart Fokaidhoo had three glorious chances but missed all three. The most clear chance fell for Egyptian striker Mostafa  Mahmoud.

Thimarafushi fired back to draw level in the 69th minute through Ahmed Mauroof. His first itme effort found the bottom corner of the net. 

During the first minute of additional time in the game Thimarafushi found the back of the net to go on top. Episan Kouassi find the net on this occasion. 

Despite Thimarafushi going 2-1 up their joy was short lived as Jailam equalized for Fokaidhoo deep into extra time.
