Maldives named squad for Singapore friendly

Male', MALDIVES - Newly appointed Maldives head coach Petar Segrt has named a 23-man squad for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against Bhutan and friendly against Singapore on Friday.

Segrt's first game as the head coach of the Maldives will be the friendly game against Singapore on Friday and his first official match will be the AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against Bhutan on 27th March at the National Stadium, Male.

Maldives team will depart to Singapore tonight for the friendly game.

Segrt omitted the experienced players like Shafiu Ahmed, Mohamed Arif, Ahmed Abdulla, Mohamed Rasheed an last year's most promising player, Naiz Hassan and Ibrahim Rizuwan  from the squad.

TC Sports: Ibrahim Mahudhee Hussain, Ibrahim Waheed, Azzam Abdulla

United Victory: Hassan Tholal

Green Streets: Ashad Ali, Abdulla Yameen

Maziya: Samooh Ali, Yasfaadh Habeeb, Mohamed Irufan, Mujuthaz Mohamed, Hussain Shareef

New Radiant: Ali Ashfaq, Akram Abdul Ghani, Mohamed Umair, Hamza Mohamed, Ali Fasir, Hisam Saleem, Riham Abdul Ghani, Mohamed Faisal

Eagles: Mohamed Naim, Hussain Sifaau Yoosuf, Ahmed Nooman

VIctory: Hussain Nihan
