Male', MALDIVES - Defending champions Maziya Sports and Recreation Club started Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League in style after a 4-0 win against Kudahuvadhoo on Friday.
Maziya captain Asadhulla Abdulla broke the deadlock in the first minute of the game after receiving a wonderful cross from Mohamed Umari from the left flank and shot it into the bottom corner of the net.
Keric missed a golden opportunity to increase the margin after 30 minutes. In the last five minutes before the break Kudahuvadhoo missed two goal scoring opportunities from Christian and Adam Shaheem.
Maziya started second half very well and changed the score just after ten minutes into the second half.
Keric Andrej changed the score the 2-0 after 55 minutes. Keric penetrated the defense line of Kudahuvadhoo and shot it into the roof of the net.
Maziya coach Sekulovski introduced Mohamed Arif into the game just after the second goal and they dominated the half.
Keric Andrej increased the marjin in the 69th minute from a another descent strike after receiving the pass from Ashad Ali.
In the 74th minute Maziya were lucky to change the score to 4-0 after an own goal from Kudahuvadhoo skipper Ibrahim Rashad. Rashad tried to clear the cross from Yasfaadh, unfortunately it went into the goal.
New Radiant will play against TC Sports Club tomorrow night at 2100 hours.
