Nominees for the best goalkeeper revealed

Male', MALDIVES - and Football Association of Maldives have finally announced the three shortlisted candidates for the Maldives Football Awards best goalkeeper of the year 2018.

The three candidates for the best goalkeeper award includes; Limbu Kiran Kumar from TC Sports Club, New Radiant's Mohamed Faisal and Sujan Perera from Club Eagles.

Limbu Kiran Kumar (TC Sports Club):

The Nepali international goalkeeper was well known in Maldives as he was a member of TC Sports Club in 2017 as well. Kiran Kumar  has shown impressive displays in Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League when TC Sports won the league.

Mohamed Faisal (New Radiant):

Faisal played a vital role in winning Male League with New Radiant and surprisingly he won the best player award of the most prestigious regional tournament, SAFF Suzuki Cup. He was a key member of Maldives team when they lift the trophy for the second time.

Sujan Perera (Club Eagles):

Sujan Perera was the pillar of Club Eagles during the past two seasons. He played a vital role in winning the second position of Male League and third position of Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.

The winners of the Maldives Football Awards 2018 will be determined through a combined voting process, in which the decision is based on the votes of captains and head coaches of first division teams and head coaches from first division and second division along with selected sports journalists.

Maldives Football Best Player 2018 is one of eleven prizes to be announced at the Maldives Football Awards in Male on December 29.

The other awards are Best player, Best Coach, Golden Shoes, Best Foreign Player, Fan Award, Jooley Award for the best goal, Most promising player, Women player, most promising women player and FAM honorary award.
