Dhaka, BANGLADESH - Maldives started this year's SAFF Suzuki Cup campaign after a goalless draw against Sri Lanka in Group B. Maldives needs a draw against the regional heavy weights to confirm their berth in the semi-final from this group.
However, India will eye a win against the Maldives in their second match of the SAFF Suzuki Cup on Sunday to qualify for the semi-finals as the toppers of Group ‘B’.

Indian tactician, Stephen Constantine is expected to field an unchanged team which took the field against Sri Lanka. After outclassing Sri Lanka by 2-0 in their opening match, India will eye a win against Maldives in their second match of the SAFF Suzuki Cup on Sunday.
Ashique Kuruniyan and Lallianzuala Chhangte played a stellar role on the flanks in the last match and will be expected to repeat their performance against Maldives.
Maldives were held for a goalless draw by Sri Lanka on Friday. Maldives need to avoid a defeat by less than two goals to confirm their place in the semi-final of the competition.
Maldives national team coach Petar Segrt has said that they have everything in their hand to qualify for the semi final of SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018.
"We played good football specially in the first half and it was a good game for both teams. Still we have everything in our hand and one win against India and we will be in the semi final. India is a very good team and the only thing is to prepare the team against India. My goal against India is to win or draw and confirmed a place in the semi final. But i don't like goalless draws." Said Petar.
