Male', MALDIVES - Maziya coach Marjan Sekulovski has left the club "by Mutual consent" after the two parties agreed not to renew the contract which will be expired at the end of this month.
Speaking to Maldivesfootball.com, Maziya CEO Hussain Shafiu said that the decision was made after the discussion for the last few days.
"Based on the recent results we discussed and agreed not to renew the contract and that's what the coach prefers." Said Shafiu.
"Under his guidance we won the Charity Shield, Male League and had a good campaign in the AFC Cup this year and we thank Sekulovski for the things he did for this club."
Shafiu also said that coach Sekulovski will depart to his country tonight and they are in search of a local coach for the rest of the season.
Maziya had a great time with Sekulovski in Male League and AFC Cup but during the past couple of weeks they had a poor performance. In the last two games, Maziya drew with Thinadhoo and lost against TC Sports.
Maziya lies on third position of the table with 20 points from 10 games while league leaders New Radiant got 27 points from 10 games.
