Soba appointed as coach of Valencia

Male', MALDIVES - Club Valencia has appointed their former defender Sobah Mohamed Ibrahim as the new head coach of the club for the upcoming season.

Sobah signed a two year contract with the club in a function held at Hangout cafe last night. Valencia's general secretary Abdulla Shiba signed the contract on behalf of the club.

Sobah played for Valencia in 2000 and also he spent successful playing career with Victory and New Radiant. Sobah was also a member of Maldives national team who won the 2008 SAFF Championship.

Sobah satrted his coaching career in 2014 and in his debut season he took New Radiant to the final of President's Cup. And in 2015 he joined with the second division club, Green Streets and promoted them to the top tier. He also won the second position of STO Male League last year with Green Streets.

Valencia has started to strengthen the club for the upcoming football season. Mohamed Sifan has decided to stay with the club and Ansar Ibrahim from Eagles, Ibrahim Zameer from Maalhos, Ali Imran from Thinadhoo, Mohamed Karam and Ibrahim Haseeb has joined with the club.
