Male', MALDIVES - TC Sports Club confirmed a place in the final of FA Cup after beating Maziya Sports and Recreation Club by 2-0 on Saturday night.
In a very balanced first half both teams created few chances to score and the very first attempt came from TC Sports. Ibrahim Mahudhee penetrated the defense line of Maziya and hits the woodwork from a close range shot.
Naiz Hassan missed another golden opportunity to broke the deadlock after 33 minutes from a descent strike inside the box. Keeper Mahmoud blocked the shot from Naiz.
Two minutes later, Ashad Ali tested TC keeper Kiran Kumar from a thunderbolt shot inside the box which was cleared for a corner.
A minute before the break Yasfaadh Habeeb's attempt outside the box went wide.
TC Sports coach Mohamed Nizam introduced Mohamed Mazin in the second half to replace Mohamed Samir and few minutes later Nizam introduced their foreign striker Cornelius Stewart.
Ibrahim Mahudhee broke the deadlock in the 67th minute from a descent volley inside the box after receiving the cross from Stewart from the right flank.
Maziya were unlucky to level the game after 73 minutes when Hassan Shifaz's attempt inside the box was blocked by TC Sports Nepali goalkeeper Kiran.
Naiz Hassan changed the score to 2-0 after 79 minutes. Naiz received the pass from Rilwan and slotted it into the bottom corner of the net.
TC Sports finished the game with 10-men when referee Ahmed Ameez gave the marching orders to Mohamed Mazin with a second yellow in the last minute of the game.
