Male', MALDIVES - Following a win against Thimarafushi Green streets added yet another three points to their names while Fehendhoo who were on the loosing side will have wait for yet another match day to register their first win.
Match-day one draw against Victory was a massive point for Fehendhoo but in their second game against TC Ali Ashfaq fired home two goals in a three nil win for TC.
Meanwhile Green Streets who got off to a scrappy start with a draw against Foakaidhoo registered their first pints against Thimarafushi with two goals.
Coming into today's game Green Streets coach Ali Suzain named a largely unchanged starting eleven. Ukrainian striker Roland Rasel was the most noticeable omission.
For Fehendhoo star defender Hussain Shareef started the game while experienced top flight player Ahmed Nizam was among the substitutes.
Fehendhoo had a glorious opportunity to take the lead in the fifth minute of the game when Green Streets lost the ball in defense. A low cross from the right flank found Hussain Eaman who somehow missed a sitter from inside the six yard box.
Club Green Streets first open chance came in the 19th minute and Hernandez Avila fired home to draw first blood in the game. A deep cross from the right flank was met by Avila who placed the ball into the far corner of the net with a wonderful header.
In the 32nd minute of the game Hernandez Avila's first time volley was punched away by Fehendhoo goalie Ibrahim Zayan to deny Avila his second of the game.
Before the break Fehendhoo did get a wonderful chance to draw level but Ibrahim Majid's free header went well wide.
Much like the first half Green Streets dominated proceedings in the second half while Fehendhoo tried to hit Green on the counter.
Second half substitute Rasel scored in the 73rd minute to secure all three points for Green Streets and got a handful of opportunities to widen the margin but were unable to do so.
